mo rooms - mo hotel

The soft openning of Mo Rooms (a.k.a Mo Hotel) was finally held on February 20th. the vibe was cool and fun since creativity, art, performances, energetic people and relief were gathered.

บรรยากาศเท่แล้วก็สนุกมากเพราะด้วยความแปลก สร้างสรรค์ของตัวโรงแรมเอง ศิลปะและการแสดงต่างๆ พลังความคึกคักของแขกที่มาร่วมงานและความโล่งอกโล่งใจที่สามารถทำให้โรงแรมนี้เป็นรูปเป็นร่างได้

beansprounts blossom - เมื่อถั่วงอกเบ่งบาน

these are Hern's handed sketch which had been much criticized at the beginning since only computer drawing is requested and considered correct

after many months of brainstorming, finally the beansprount chandeliers have fully blossomed. hern's ideas for iberry are spreaded around the futurepark shopping complex, bangkok. the opening of new iberry shop was on st. valentines' day, february 14th '09. according to the location which is in the middle hall, iberry shop was designed to be seen all 360 degree angle

from the bird eyed view, this given area has imitated the leaves for its natural theme.

Hern had used clear plates in order to create new effect to the shop's sign and contrasted them with the wooden frame
พี่เหิรใช้จานแก้วใสทำป้ายร้านสร้างความรู้สึกแบบใหม่อาศัยความแวววาวของจานและตัดด้วยโครงท่อนไม้

the sweetness were added to the ice cream counter by using pastel plates and stencil graphic
เพิ่มความหวานเข้ามาให้เคาร์เตอร์ไอศรีมด้วยจานเซรามิกสีพาสเทลและลายกราฟฟิคใช้เทคนิคสเตนซิล

hern chandelier - live in studio

these huge Hern's chandeliers are used to decorate a branch of iberry icecream shop in future park rangsit shopping complex, bangkok. photos were taken secretly live in studio. hern, as well,is the interior designer for this branch.

Painting Collection IV - From the Old Days

Hern's memories from the youth are hidden in these artpieces so to him, they are powerful and touched

My Motorcycle
this work is one of his outstanding works from 2008 and been exhibited at art republic gallery. It was the first work which, techinically, he felt much confidence in conbining function into art and emphazing that art is touchable literally.

conceptually, this motorcycle is so meaningful to him since a lot of younger-aged memories had been much related to it. click for more stories about it from one and two.

these works relate to the memories from his childhood when he lived in a house on the riverbank and boat was used as the main transportation. when he dived into the river, it was like travelling into different world, full of imagination and excitment especially when looking up, trying to push yourself up to the air but saw a big boat above you. Moreover, recalling the life with boat seems to be like fairytale which cannot turn back since boat is now rarely used.

Painting Collection III - Go Funky

this sculpture is made out of the broken chairs from a bar which Hern used to have. the hilarious idea is to find a friend to his english bullterrier dog.

the plain metal sheet was painted white then scratched and engraved with grinder to salute one of Vincent Van Gogh's artwork called "wheat field with crows"
